A brief history of RSI Asset Management LLC and it’s principals

In January 2009, RSI Asset Management LLC was formed in response to requests for due diligence consultation and loss mitigation services on non-performing residential and commercial mortgage debt in Florida. RSI currently represents over 500 non-performing loans owned by private equity firms and hedge funds or in partnership as principals with local investors. RSIAM has the authority to value and act on behalf of numerous clients, and in the past five years, RSIAM has successfully purchased and managed of over 1000 residential assets on behalf of its clients and partners.

We take a multi-faceted approach to our residential investments. The bulk of the RSIAM portfolio consists of non-performing residential 1st lien mortgages currently in default or sub-performing. The approach is to reach out to borrowers “in person” to offer a myriad of options as alternative to foreclosure. Our technique is high touch attention to each individual asset we purchase. We accomplish this by employing and sub-contracting some of the best real estate and mortgage minds in Florida. When an asset turns REO, we invest capital into rehab and turnkey the property so that it not only reaches our best return on investment but also helps to beautify the neighborhood. A similar approach is taken on the buy-and-flip portion of our investment portfolio.

Another aspect of the RSIAM investment strategy is the buy-and-hold rental program. RSIAM recognizes that, in Florida especially, we have seen an overcorrection in values in most areas. Homes can be purchased cheaper than it costs to replace/rebuild new. In some cases the value adjustment we’ve witnessed in the past 60 months represents a return to levels not seen in 30 years in Florida. In the cases of properties where RSIAM recognizes this type of overcorrection, we have initiated a rental program designed to lease and manage homes and condos.

In retail development, RSI has represented builder-developers in the acquisition of properties for the development and construction of single tenant, net leased properties; retail shopping centers and mixed-use properties; and assisted in market studies and all aspects of due diligence. In recent years RSI has expanded its services to include 1031 exchanges and residential and commercial property management.The personnel of RSI have represented some of the largest and best-known names in the restaurant, retail and real estate development business.On the tenant side, RSI has represented Darden Restaurants (Olive Garden, Seasons 52, Bahama Breeze, Red Lobster, and Longhorn Steakhouse) exclusively in South Florida for over 30 years. Other current national clients include BJs Restaurant & Brewhouse, Hurricane Grill & Wings, Family Dollar Stores, and McDonalds USA (corporate).In January 2009, RSI Asset Management was formed in response to the requests for due diligence consultation and loss mitigation services on non-performing residential and commercial mortgage debt. In the past 24 months, RSI has successfully mitigated and disposed of over 200 residential assets on behalf of its clients and partners.
